As well as previous report,if you are unsuccessful at seeing the 08's,there is a vantage point on the dual carriageway that crosses Barton Hill Depot..walk onto the dual carriageway and look to your left with binoculars..the West end of the shed can be viewed from here and numbers of 08's stabled in this vicinity recorded.

Also,to the right of the main entrance there is a bank,which if you climb,gives views head on of the West end of the shed...Martin Harrison

From Bristol Temple Meads Station turm left out of the approach road and first left into Cattle Market Road, this turns into Feeder Road, Take the signposted right turn into Short Street. The main entrance is just prior to the bridge, however continue under the bridge and left into Albert Road, this will take you along side the depot, turn left into the KFC drive in for food and better parking. At the end of Albert Road turn left for Bristol Barton Hill, taking the first left after you cross the Lawrence Hill Line.
