On the main line between Bristol Temple Meads and Cardiff it is a fairly quiet location passenger-wise outside the rush hour. With a side platform and an island platform - no toilet/cafe facilities - connected by a ramp type footbridge there are plenty of good spots for photos. Types of traction vary widely - 43,60,66,67 on the loco side, plus a large unit selection 142,143,158,220 and 221 spring to mind. There is a car park close-by but I have only ever been there by train. I find it a good location to photo any specials through that line, steam having to work hard up from Bristol then shutting off just before they come into view resulting in lots of smoke and steam. I think DRS run flask trains through here with 20,33,37 locos but I have not been lucky enough to see one yet.
