A 3-platform station on the WCML.
It's alright but it's not the most photographic stations.
Lots of passenger traffic, very little stops here, most of it is at full speed.
Virgin and London Midland (350's).

There are very regular Pendolinos and Voyagers passing through.

Freight and light engine movements are less frequent. There is usually 2 or 3 every hour, sometimes more. Most of them are hauled by 66's or Electric traction, with 68's & 70's making the occasional appearance.

If you don't fancy the pub food you can usually get a pie or sandwich in the garden centre which is a few yards south from the station.

Acton Bridge situated on the WCML north of Hartford Junction Station and before the Liverpool turn off.

Tricky station to find on the road with very little in the way of sign posts.

Situated at teh end of what i can only discribe as a 3 mile straight makes for good viewing for Northbound Workings both passenger and freight.

A wide Variety of traffic passes through Acton Bridge and is a recommended location to view the Sandbach ICI tanks. There are no facilities at the station and those wishing to relieve themselves should take in the local Public house whilst doing so, with its bear garden over looking the railway its ideal to have a pint and watch trains at the same time.

Ideal Location in the Spring/Summer time with opportunities to photograph from lineside locations which are a 5 minute walk south of the station.
