Normally a very quiet location on the Peterborough- Lincoln-
Doncaster route. Only trains are East Midland Trains class 153's with occasional 158's, 156's and 170's. There are no booked freights on this route but it is used for diversions off the ECML.
The station area is original GNR, with plenty of places nearby to view and photograph trains. Plenty of shops and pubs nearby in Spalding town centre.
