Just updating this entry as previous one is over eight years old. Godfrey Road depot long closed - now a station car park giving direct access onto platform 4. Note that barriers on this (northern end) of station seem to be permanently open. Newport still average for loco hauled trains, though nowhere near as many as years ago due to mining and steel production cutbacks. EWS EWS 60s and 66s, FL 66s & 70s and ATWs 67s are normal fare. But oddities also appear occasionally.
