First Capital Connect have now installed barriers on both the east and west entrances so you can't access the station without a ticket. The line is very busy with FCC, National Express, Grand Central and Hull Trains services. Freight is sparse with about 10 services a day.

Use the car park on the Brampton (west or north bound)side of the line. The entrance is more or less under that hideous flyover. Parking costs £4 per day before 10am but only £1 after. Entrance to platforms is unrestricted and there is a cafe on the platform. Average about 20 trains per hour but note that some pass through very fast. If going to Peterborough it is and easy way to park and take the train thus avoiding hassle in Peterborough.
