Highland Capital served by Scotrail and East Coast.
Mainly 158's and 170's to/from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Wick and Kyle of Lochalsh. Popular summer venue for railtours including the Royal Scotsman.
One HST a day to KX (stabled overnight)and Caledonian Sleeper to Euston, class 67 hauled.
At time of writing class 37's still appear occasionally (as route learners or snowplough duties) at neighburing Milburn Yard (EWS) with resident 08 shunter and occasional Freight by DBS & FL class 66, presently no more than one of each per day!
Station has Car parking and WH Smiths and Cafe/Waiting area, ticket barriers used at peak times but some platforms can usually be still accessed.
