The station car parks are a con don't bother with them.
It's cheaper to park at one of the pay and displays or even the Westfieldwhich is only a short walk away. There is a car park that charges £4 a day just by the station/roundhouse but this is shrinking as Pride Park extends.
If you fancy a warm welcome,a good pint and a look at some good up to date photos on the wall don't miss The Alexandra which is run by a fellow enthusiast Ralf

Just a small but important addition to AJP's review.
Parking at Derby station is very expensive.
If you are there for the day it will cost you a staggering £7.50 as I found out to my cost.
If there for only a couple of hrs park up at the Derby Royal Infirmary as its cheaper.

At Derby you should see HST/222/220/221/170/158/153 and the occasional freight. Also you may see some fragonset loco's kickin about. There is a chippy just outside the station. Derby is great for MML HST's and 222.
