The best way to see Motherwell Depot is to come out of the station and turn left. Walk up the road and over the railway. Cross the road and go in B & Q. Head for the garden centre area and you can see all the locos up close.

Unfortunately this only gets one side of the depot but to get the other side follow Kenny's advice and get a train to Whifflet.

Please note, this depot is now closed and there is very little there to see.

At Motherwell TMD you usually 66's 67's 37's and the odd 60. 10 minutes walk away from Motherwell station. Busiest time to see the Loco's is saturday or Sunday because they are stabled.
From Motherwell station turn left and follow the railway line until see a bridge. Cross the bridge were there is a railway junction, look over the bridge and you will see some loco's. Then follow the road until you see B&Q and you can also see some loco's through a fence. You will also see a few extra loco's at the back of the shed. Head towards the entrance of the depot and look left were you will see a road follow the road for a couple of minutes and you will see the back of the depot.
At the front (next to B&Q) there is a burger bar were you can get a lovley bacon buttie.
