Dog Shit Bridge is closed indeffinatly

Eaglescliffe station is a bit run down these days but you can see plenty. The bridge just to the north of the station locally known as 'Dog Shit Bridge', famous for many a pic over the years is no longer open to the public. It's all fenced off with no access. The old sidings oposite the station are to given new life. Contractors are, as we speak re laying the points and trackwork to re connect to the main line.
Good views north and south with very goods views. Anything heading from Tees yard, Lackanby and tees Dock heading south has to pass through the station so you're bound to see plenty of 142's, 66, 665's, 156, 158 and the occasional 37.
there is shop next to the station and a taxi rank. Thornaby is 10 minute drive away.
