As said in a previous review Burton on a the main NE/SW route.Main traction are Arriva Cross Country 170s,Voyagers,and HSTs.On the freight side you get Dbs 66s,F/L 66s,and 66s off different companies. Also you can get workings off RTC Derby and railtours etc.The station is very close to local shops and pubs, chip shop around corner and bed and breakfast is available very close to the station.if you prefer you could park by the Grain warehouse (not sure of the cost)and see everything.Hope this helps .

Burton-on-Trent is easily accessible by rail and road.

It is situated on the Derby-Birmingham line, approx. 10 miles from Tamworth and Derby. Virgin and Central trains "service" this station apparently (although evidence of this "service" is sometimes lacking! ;-)

The car park is very limited, so it's first come first served! £2.50 for all day parking. Everything that passes Burton passes Tamworth, with the exception of the rare coal working along the under-used Leicester branch.

Traction ranges from 66's (of all colours - even the odd DRS 66!), 60's, 47's (fragonset), 57's, 33's, 31's, 37's plus the usual Vermin Vislegers, and Central units, Midland Mainline operate an occasional service (early morning and early (ish) evening).
