Turn off the A64 following signs for Copmanthorpe. Keep on the road for Copmanthorpe to the T junction in the village. turn right and keep going till you come to Station Road. Turn left on to Station road, carry on over the bridge. At the bottom of the bridge turn right. this road runs alongside the ECML. you get everything in & out of York and its good for photos.There are plenty of shops in the village as well as a good chippy. 18.02.2019 They have now put a big fence up so photography is not so good. Now use Askam Bar car park {its free} and right on the lineside
