Just a minor update that Lincoln now has auto barriers installed but friendly staff let me through both times I asked without any issue. Steady stream of freight still + inevitable DMU's :)

Lincoln station is a great place, still fully semaphore signalled. No loco-hauled passenger trains, mostly Central and Arriva DMU's. However a constant stream of freight passes on the two centre tracks.
Buffet on station, plenty of pubs and shops nearby.
