Shrewsbury Station - Heart of Arriva Trains Wales Network.

This Station can see a variety of DMU's Ranging from 150/2's to 175's all on local and long distance expresses.

Our Freight flows vary day to day with Wednesay (1700 - 2000) being the best period and anytime after 2300 and before 0600 any other day. Loco's of late have been mostly 66's with the odd 60 turning up on the margam - dee marsh and return steel flows. We Also see 3 or 4 Freightliner Heavy Haul coal trains a day except Weekends one or two of which produces a 70 on a regular basis. One Freighliner Container train per week, and 2 or 3 cement trains or Potash trains conveyed in PCA tanks although the Castle Cement TEA's have been used.

We see additional traffic such as Network Rail test trains nearly on a monthly basics and have produce DRS 37s NR 37s or Class 31 with DBSO.
