Brighouse (West Yorkshire) is a quiet station with hourly trains from Wakefield Kirkgate (via Huddersfield) to Selby, and return, and Leeds (via Dewsbury) to Manchester Victoria, also return. The odd freight working passes through here, and in May 2010 the new Bradford (via Halifax) service to London KX and return calls here. It is not a manned station so tickets must be bought elswhere or on train, in summer the Cotton Mills Express steam specials run through here. When the Leeds Manchester Airport line is closed for engineering - mostly Sundays - diversions come through here, mainly class 185's.
The station is about 5 mins walk from the centre of this small town, but the center is well worth a visit.
