being a local lad so i know northampton station quite well just a quick up date the depot has now being built the sideings still hold 321s best times to see these is any where between the morning rush and the afternoon before 3 oclock and the odd 350 after 9 oclock can be seen in the far sideing if you hang around any time between 10 and 11oclock you might see a pair of 20's come north or south come quite l8er but be warned these have benn coming early u get everything else on most days aprt from a 56 on the doncaster grain that would be on a tuesday normaly sticks to the time it booked through 17:05 also the wembly-bescot enterprise hauled by a 92 between 9 and 10 pm just north of the station is martins yard where u might see the odd 66 stabled (on a monday and friday )before and after a weekend enginereeing work if any problems just ask

One Refrestment Room on Platform 1,Two coffee shops,a bookshop-sweets ect in station building,if you get onto the platform and you require the Toilet you have got to go back through the Barrier's as the Platform Toilets have been taken out.
Also if you are going to travel to Rugby and North Take note of the Station Anouncements ( Rugby Trains can go from Platform 1 or 2 ) any part of the day) ALSO THERE IS CCTV on the station.
