A short walk from Willesden Junction.

When leaving the station turn right and at the main road turn left going over the WCML. Walk about half a mile down the road and you will get to a T Junction. Turn left and go over the North london Line. The entrance to the EWS depot is on your left hand side.

From here you also get a good view of the carriage sidings.

PLEASE NOTE, YOU HAVE GOT NO CHANCE OF GETTING ROUND THE EWS DEPOT.

To view the EWS depot retrace your steps and walk along the towpath next to the Grand Union canal. After a short distance there is a footbridge. If you climb this you will be able to get a view of some of the stored locos.

If you want the FGW or Heathrow Express depots walk further down the road from the entrance to the EWS depot. I have never tried to get in either. The best way to view the HEx depot is going past on a train from Paddington to Ealing Broadway.

In terms of amenities return to Willesden Junction and walk further up the road into Harlesden town centre. There are loads of shops and fast food outlets.

To get here I would recommend a one day travelcard. The parking is restricted.
