Par is served by Arriva Trains Wales, FGW and Wessex Trains. There is also a constant stream of EWS freight trains passing through.
Decent Car Park except in high summer
Served by Arriva Wales FGW and Wessex trains approximately hourly up and down from 6 am to 11pm large amount of EWS clay traffic and Freightliner HH (Tu Th only)
bus stop outside station approach (Fowey~St Austell route)Pub straight opposite station ~ Royal Inn open all day sells selection of real ales and food and offers B&B with panoramic views of station area!
Vals chip shop, Spar shop, cafe, pasty shops and more pubs in Par Village 5 mins walk down road
vantage points include road overbridge, passenger footbridge footpath to village runs along mainline to a rail over bridge (on way to St Blazey depot) with a footpath going right along the depot perimeter and on along the Nequy branch all the way to Ponts Mill at the foot of the Luxulyan incline famous for its Industrial archaeology including the Trefry Viaduct?aquaduct itself a great phot location
Parking can be difficult. Toilet locked evenings. Pub opposite. BZ (St Blazey depot) only short walk away.
Access to Par station is fairly easy the only problem is the steep hill down to the Car park.
