An excellent location, 5 miles north of Peterborough. The ECML and Peterborough - Leicester line run parallel here. They are connected in the down direction only, a line used by both passenger and freight traffic. A very busy location with the six running lines crossed by the Glinton - Helpston road which is protected by barriers controlled by the gate box. This box is the listed ex-GNR signal box.
Good views in both directions. Small car park to the west side of the crossing. Small shop and two good pubs in the adjacent village.
