Whilst the station itself is good for spotting and photographing through traffic, stuff on the lower freight line that by-passes the station can't be seen from the platforms. The passing freight traffic and also station through traffic can all be seen from the lower end of the station car park. Exit the station, turn left and after crossing the bridge, cross the road at the pelican crossing to the car park. Binoculars are needed to read the station traffic.
