This is a good place to see the Trans-Pennine services plus a fair number of other Northern Spirit units along with hourly North Western Trains services on the Wakefield to Man Vic route. Freight also passes through at irregular intervals. There is a private run buffet on the platform and a genral shop just outside. The town centre is only minutes away. Leeds is reached in approx 20 mins.
