Lots of freight and passenger services to be seen.
A right good mixture can be seen and some surprises.
Best viewed from the station in Carstairs to see movements and grub available from local shops about 1 mile away

What DG posted on 5/10/04 is incorrect. OK if you have your own transport. Check your timetables to see how many trains stop there. Freight from Mossend - Edinburgh (via Shotts) does not come this way. See Holytown
