There is a private business estate at the end of the road passing the main entrance to the Yard. The estate has a barrier and security hut but, if you ask nicely, they may allow you access to the estate. This runs parallel to the lines at the back of the estate and from the very far end (opposite end of estate from entrance) the stabling area can be seen. Numbers can be obtained from this point with binoculars. Hope this helps.

Hoo Junction is an extensive freight yard located between Gravesend and Higham on the North Kent Line. It is the point of culmination between this line and a single-track branch from the Isle of Grain, this of which is used mainly by 'Freightliner' to serve the island's 'Thamesport' complex and the power stations. The depot can be viewed from one of two places: the first vantage point is the level crossing which is located at the west end of the yard. It is manually operated by oneself if crossing the double-track passenger line. The other viewing alternative is an overgrown public footpath which follows the eastern perimeter of the yard.
