Very little on horton road depot these days. A few track machines there and an abandoned advenza freight 47. Still a small number of freights to and from south wales, as well as the usual Turbostars, Sprinters, pacers & HST's.

The best place to view to depot & the sidings is from the depot end of platform 4 at gloucester station or the same end of platform 1.

From here you can get very good views of the sidings used by cotswold rail with thier numerous 47's.

For better views of horton road, come out of the station and turn left. at the traffic lights cross over and turn immediately left as you get to the other side of the road. Follow the road past Asda, continuing straight on with the bypass on you left. after about quarter of a mile you will come across another road that goes under the bypass. turn left and you immediately get to horton road crossing.
