The depot at Hither Green is situated in-between a triangle of lines on the 'Sidcup Line', but viewing is not necessarily impossible. The best solution for viewing is to embark on a service from Hither Green, or Charing Cross, which is bound for Sevenoaks - a relatively clear view of all stock can be achieved. It is operated by freight hauler 'EWS' and is usually responsible for the remarshalling of wagons into alternate trains which have either originated from or are bound for Hoo Junction. The last known recording of a working turntable still existing at Hither Green was circa 1980 and the shed building was still in existence throughout this decade, although its current status is still unknown.
