Parking update: now £7.60 for any period of time up to a maximum of 24hrs (no reduction for short stays). Don't you just love APCOA/FGW?

Bristol Parkway is reasonable for viewing freight but it depends on what day you go there.

If you sit by the windows in the main lounge and have a pair of bins then you can see anything which passes to/from South Wales which does not come into Parkway.

There is also a view view of coal trains coming from Avonmouth as well as anything else that comes from there.

There is no chippie nearby so it is recommended that you take with you a flask and some sandwiches as the prices at the buffet are expensive to say the least.

If you come by car it cost £3.00 per day Monday to Friday and £1.50 on weekends. The car park is monitered by security at regular intervals.

If any of you have mobility difficulties then don't worry as Parkway has lift facilities both from ground level and from the platforms.

If in the event of any of the lifts being unavailable then ask a member of staff for assistance and they will get you to where you wish to be.
