Just to update. Station has been modernised but no toilets anywhere. If it is bad weather you can sit inside and see the trains ok. Class 318's, 320's and 334's pass through frequently in about equal amounts.

Just to add to the previous review, photos oppertunities are good here as the station is on a slight curve allowing for some decent shots especially from platform 1.

If you are after 318's, 320's and 334's this is the place to be as most trains come through this station. It is always very busy during the peak hours. Trains run between Lanark, Motherwell, Drumgelloch, Springburn and Dalmuir, Balloch, Helensburgh Central and Milngavie.

Both platforms are easily accessible with no barriers and there is an interchange with the subway too but you must have a ticket to get onto the subway. See my review of Glasgow Queen Street for ticket types.

Outside the station is a Safeway supermarket and a Greggs sandwich shop and for a short walk you can get to M*******ds.
