Bangor station is not as busy today as it was many years ago. Main traffic to be seen now are Pendolinos hauled by Class 573xx, which can be seen at 06-07 to London, and at about 23-00 to Holyhead weekdays.
221 Voyagers,units of class 153/156/158,are the mainstay of workings. Freightwise,DRS class 20s can be seen on nuclear trains from Valley on Tuesdays and Fridays around 16-00, but on occasions DRS class 664XX and 37s can turn up.
Car parking is very reasonable at £2.00 for 24 hours. Chip shops are about 10/15 minutes walk to the town.
Platforms over the footbridge are best for photography.
Plenty of leaflets about places to visit are available in the booking office foyer.
