This one is a bit off the beaten enthusiast's track. Sutton Parkway is a small suburban station on the "Robin Hood Line" from Nottingham to Mansfield and Worksop. Freight is sporadic, but a regular coal train heads south through the station at around 12.30 pm every weekday.

Otherwise they run as required.

Passenger trains number two per hour in each direction. They can be Classes 150, 153, 156, 158 or 170. I have added this station as photographing is excellent, and you can follow the field by the lineside for quite some way, without trespassing.

Parking is free at the station, which is just five minutes drive from Junction 28 of the M1. The nearest food stores, pubs etc are in either Sutton in Ashfield or Kirkby in Ashfield.
