This isolated spot is just west of Spalding on the Peterborough-Lincoln-Doncaster route. Semaphore signals and good visibility make it an excellent photgaphic location.

The former station house is still used as offices, little changed since closure in 1962. On the opposite side of the AHB crossing is the original potato transhipment shed, served by a narrow guage railway until the 1950's.

The Great Northern Railway signalbox has recently been renovated and is a prominent feature here, the location being where the A16 Market Deeping-Spalding road crosses the railway.

There are no nearby shops but good pubs can be found nearby.
