GNER VT Northern Trans Pennine Express and Scotrail all operate services from Central Station. 91,s 43's voyagers, sprinters and pacers dominate, some freight passes the station mainly 60's, 66's and a very few 90's, 91's.
Large station complex, with many cafes, shops and facilities.
