A much reduced station layout, all traces of the goods shed have gone under new development.
First station out of Crewe on the line for North Wales. Mainly DMU traffic with occational loco working. Besides the Station, the building still remain but has new use as a restaurant , there is two level crossings and a signal box to control them, by the use of semaphore signals, electrically operated.

The station is at the end of town, and free parking isn't a problem. Even the pay and display carparks are cheap and free after 18:00. Access is very easy, as unstaffed. Plenty of warning of approaching trains, by signals and of course level crossings.

The station is on a slight curve, but saying that there is a good view alone the track. There is also a footbridge so ample viewing locations.

Nearest Chippie about 5-10 min walk. Out of station turn right, straight across roundabout, Morrisons on right, chippie (Coral Reef) about 100 yards on left. Open Sundays.
