Highland station served by Scotrail and East Coast.
Mainly 158's and 170's to/from Glasgow, Edinburgh, to Inverness. Popular summer railtour route regular stopping point for The Royal Scotsman.
One HST a day to KX and Caledonian Sleeper to Euston, class 67 hauled.
Occasional Freight, usually by class 66 ,"Enterprise" working and a daily Tesco Intermodal
Station has Car parking and Cafe/Waiting area, and shares platforms with The Strathspey Railway who have their own Shop there.
They operate mainly steam trains but occasional diesel class 31 (including hauling the Royal Scotsmans ECS Boat of Garten) - leaving the RS Loco stabled beside the station overnight.

Aviemore is between Perth and Inverness. Here you should see 158/170/66/67/37 and HST. This station can get boring during quiet spells but the straphspey railway is situated here. It also gets very cold and food is available.
