A very busy station with excellent views in both directions.
Little freight but a constant procession of GNER and WAGN trains. The only sidings are south east of the station served on an as-and-when needed basis during the week. However, on Sunday it receives the only booked freight south of Peterborough. It is an EWS 66 hauled LaFarge discharge train that arrives at approx. 11.30, departing around 15.30.
Plenty of cafes and pubs nearby.
