Slough Station is operated and run by Great Western Link. It is situated on the Mainline to Wales and the West.
This is a very busy station with stopping and through passenger services including various freight workings throughout the day.
Unfortunately Slough is one of those stations that you must obtain a passenger ticket to gain entry and indeed leave the station. There are car parks on both sides of the station. Parking after 16:00 is £1.50 up until 23:59.
The station is ideally located in the town centre with a 24 hour Tesco Extra situated literally on the front doorstep of the station.
Brunel Bus Station is opposite the station with local services to Hounslow, Heathrow Airport, Maidenhead and Windsor.. just to name but a few.
Platform 1 serves the Windsor and Eton line which is normally operated by a 165 and occasionally a 166.
Platform's 2 and 3 serve the high speed line with occasional stopping services to Oxford and London Paddington. Traction includes FGW HST, 180, 165 & 166.
Platform's 4 and 5 are most probably the busiest with regular services to Reading, Oxford and London Paddington operated by FGW Link's 165 & 166. Virgin Trains pass through Slough's Platform 4 & 5 with the daily Brighton to Manchester Picadilly normally in the formation of a 220.
Freight trains includes Class 59, 60, 66 & 67 haulage running in both directions through platforms 4 & 5.
