Not a bad little station for spotting, found it a bit dirty on my last trip as there are very few station staff.
A footbridge links the two platforms, so plenty of steps if that is a problem.
Two platforms with lines each side, ECML in the centre and suburban on the outer, the 43's and 91's hurtle down the straight, and under a couple of bridges, with excellent veiws both ways, if you want the feeling of power in the pit of your stomach this is one place to experience it!
I believe there is a small cafe here, but it wasn't open when I was there.
Parking fairly good in the area and a supermarket nearby for those little neccessities.
Approx 10 trains per Hr.
My rating 6/10.

A busy station with a constant procession of GNER and WAGN trains. Little freight, but an EWS 66 is booked to shunt the yard on the east side from 05.00 to 09.00 in connection with the Plasmoor block deliveries. Excellent views in both directions from the station and adjoining overbridges.

Plenty of local shops and pubs nearby.
