A quicker way is to get off the train at Barnhill (half hourly service from Glasgow Queen Street low level during the week) which is the station before Springburn. Turn right over the railway bridge and at the traffic lights turn left. Walk down this road past the post office sorting office and you will see the huge Tesco car park in front of you. The works yard is at the far left of the car park as you face the store. Walking time around 10 minutes.

Dont make the same mistake as I did in the vain hope of passing the Works by getting atrain to Springburn.

Glasgow Works at Springburn is at the end of a spur from the west side of the Gartcosh Jn to Sighthill Jn line, and as i found it is not visible from any passing trains.

Yopu will need to head for the local Tesco which from Springburn station is

Sharp left outside the station into Atlas Road. Turn left at the traffic lights at the end of this road into Springburn Road and continue for about a mile when you will see Tescos on your left. The works is viewable from the car park.
