Arnside is a small station on the line from Carnforth to Barrow-in-Furness. Traffic is class 175, 156 and 153. Freight traffic is mainly the hauling of nuclear flasks and caustic liquor tanks to and from Sellafield.
The village of Arnside has pubs, a chipshop and other shops available.
Parking is available a short walk from the station. Trains crossing the viaduct can easily be seen from the beach and it is good for photography.
