Brighton Staion is a busy terminus easily accessible by public transport. There is parking next to the station but it is incredibly expensive.

With a ticket you can access all the platforms easily and throughout the day there is a steady stream of 171's, 313/2's, 319's, 377's, 442's and the occasional 158 from the west country. The south end of the depot can be seen from the platforms but to view everything on the depot it is worth taking a short hop to Preston Park.

There are shops on the concourse and outside the station too. It is only a short walk to the city centre for shops and you can also take a quick walk down to the Lanes for the trendier amongst you.

The best place to view all services is any of the platform ends, although their is no seating and automatic barriers control access. If you wish to sit and watch from your car suggest you park in the station car park cost five pounds [ access via New England Road off the A23 ] Note however from only a handful of spaces can you get the best view.[ so get there early ].
The station concourse is only 2 mins walk away and has a brasserie,W H Smith and toilets.Directly outside is a 24 hour convenient store. The main shopping is 10 mins walk away [follow signs].
The following classes can be seen; 170,220,221,319,421,423,375 and 377.No diesels are normally seen although new built 377s are delivered by class 66.A 09 shunter is kept at the depot
