If like me you've been dragged abroad for shopping reasons by the Mrs & fancy seeing a bit of traction ignore the Citie de Europe (or whatever they call it,Centre Business or something )signs & head for Coquelles.
I think this was first exit off the roundabout when leaving the Euro Tunnel.
follow this road & before long you cross the yard.Not a very busy road & if I'd had more about me I'd have pulled up & grabbed a few snaps & numbers of ECR 66's & Red sheds along with some of the local stuff.
You can see the yard off the Euro Tunnel on the way in but don't be fooled like me,I stood at the window on the way back & never even saw the yard.Reading up on it today apparantly the track runs in a figure of 8 to reduce wear on the rails so grab em on your way in or pretend you've took the wrong turn & go for it.On returning to Folkestone on the right hand side you pass the depot & have a chance of seeing some of the shunter type things they have.
