50 049 + 031 arrived at Crewe Platform 11, double heading a rake of 5 ATW coaches with 47 847 tagged on the back. 47 847 then took the whole lot towards the LNWR workshops. Later 50 049 re-appeared alone towing a rake of 9 newly re-painted ATW coaches.
